A Local HVAC Team Committed to Doing What’s Right
For more than two decades, Alex has devoted his career to learning the HVAC trade from the ground up, starting with a rigorous four-year apprenticeship program that challenged technicians across Iowa to master real-world skills. His dedication paid off when he earned second place in the statewide HVAC Championship—an achievement that recognized both his technical ability and his commitment to doing the job the right way. Years later, his brother John followed the same path, earning first place in Iowa during his Championship year and then going on to compete nationally in Long Beach, where he won silver and first place in safety.
Those early experiences shaped a work ethic built on discipline, hands-on training, and pride in craftsmanship—values that would later become the foundation of Primo Heating & Cooling. Before launching the company, Alex spent more than 10 years on large commercial new-construction projects, including churches, banks, and department stores, as well as five years working in both high-end and traditional residential homes. That background gave him a deep understanding of how to build reliable systems from scratch and how to solve complicated comfort problems in homes across South Central Iowa.

Today, Alex leads Primo Heating & Cooling as president, while John serves as lead project manager—continuing the family effort to bring reliable, straightforward heating and cooling solutions to Chariton,
Indianola,
Osceola, and the surrounding communities. As a family-owned company, they show up with a simple mission: deliver dependable comfort, improve indoor air quality, and give every homeowner the confidence that comes from honest service and well-built systems.
